July 25th and another 3 weeks have rushed by. Where is the time going this year? We placed Wendy in a nursing home this past Saturday. She is not at all happy about it but her husband has to have his hip replaced for the 3rd time and will not be able to care for her. Wendy can not be left alone and Charlene and I can not longer do what we were doing before. It is just too hard on us. So, we take turns every other day stopping by Emporia Rehabilitation Center to see her after work. Tomorrow I'm taking Wendy out to shop a little. That should improve her mood.
The house in Neosho Rapids is moving along but at a snails pace, I feel. The housing market is in the toilet right now so I guess it is OK. It will be such a relief to be rid of it. I would like to sell Mom's house as well. But now is not the time with so many houses on the market.
It is almost time for the county fair again. And it is HOT outside. So it is time. I always get a little excited when the fair comes. I was a little saddened when I saw my first Monarch butterfly today. That means Indian Summer is not too far away. Even though fall is my favorite time of year I don't want it to get here too quick.
My husband, Rod, is going to be gone this weekend. He and a bunch (3 car loads) of his cronies are going on a "Man Trip" to the High on Life picnic at Truman Lake in Missouri. I've got the house to myself. YIPPEE

July 4-5-6
Well, here we are another 3 wks down the calendar. I can't believe how fast this year is flying by. Wendy is holding her own right now. She can do all her self care except give herself her meds. I have not spent the night with her for 2 wks now. I still go out to see and be with her quite regular just now as much as before.
We had a wonderful 4th this year. Monte had a bunch of NAers out for cookout and fireworks. It was so nice to just "be" and not "do". We all had a good time and maybe will do it again next year.
Today has been spent being lazy the first half and then getting busy with domestic stuff. Needs to be done every once in awhile.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Probably some work in NR after morning meeting. I'm suppose to have my oldest grandaughter, Bel, over for most the day. She is a very busy 6yr old.
